This week marks the 75th birthday of the Piper Cub, and last week Fly Magazine published their top 100 aircraft. Which begs the question: What are some of your favorite aircraft? Here are a few of our staff favorites: Fairchild PT-19, WACO CUC-1, Beech Barron, ICON A5, P-51 Mustang, de Havillan Beaver...actually we could sit here all day and keep naming ones we love, but we'll let you guys take over.

My Mooney M20E. I have owned a C150, C182, C310, and a C152 in that order before the Mooney. It is my favorite. However, like CK Bird anything that flies could keep me happy if it could go cross country including my wife and 100 pound of luggage. The C152 was traded as it did not meet the luggage requirement. I found that the Mooney carries 400 pounds of luggage with us, gets there in 2/3 the time while consuming the same or slightly less fuel that the 152. The maintenance is about 30% higher so something pays for the better performance.

CK Bird, that is a good one Joseph. We, like you, are a sucker for anything with a round engine.

Cessna 206, Piper Cub, Cessna 180, Beaver, DC-3, Ford Trimotor, CK Bird, Travelair Biplanes,  Beech 18,  Aeronca 7ac, and so on,  basically if it has wings, I like,  and round engines make it better,  old military aircraft of all kinds,  B-17s,  B-24, B25, B-26, etc. and etc.
