.....no! I'm about 2/3 low wing, 1/3 high wing: I love the Beech Baron and Piper Warrior for their delightful flying characteristics, but how can I not love the first airplane I ever flew, a Cessna 206? Flying is fun whether you are flying a low winger, high winger or a biplane. I've only been up a couple of times in a biplane and that was alot of fun too (although I was a passenger). My fave biplane is the Starduster.

We like a High Wing aircraft, for the simple reason that we own a 1954 Tripacer. They are easy to maintain and fly. Both my wife and I are pilots and have a great time flying and working on the plane.

For cross country I like the view from a Mooney (low wing).  For giving frinds rides the high wing usually rules.   ("Can you take me over my house?") - they can see it without high bank angle.

It's simple, with a high wing airplane you are always in the shade and out of the rain.

High wing for sure! - easier pre-flight, easier loading, better sight-seeing view, shade and shelter under the wings (shade in flight as well as on the ground), can park a car or two under the wing(s) in a T-hangar. The disadvantages are real but, to me, less significant, i.e. better view of the runway when turning in the pattern - ho, hum. The big disadvantage of high wing is more difficult self-fueling but I can live with that, too.

Oh come now!  Really?  Everyone knows BIPLANES are the best... twice the wings... Biplanes are 2x better than the others!  High Wing planes and Low Wings planes are really only Half Planes...  Biplane wannabes.  As I read through the comments there seems to be a theme: Utility.  Anybody fly for fun anymore?  Anybody fly for the pure joy of flying?  I attend a lot of aviation events.  Don't see many people standing in lines to take a ride in a High Wing or a Low Wing (unless its a DC-3)... But there's always people wanting a ride in a BIPLANE.  Nothing like rollin' a BIPLANE inverted... I love it when you look UP and see GREEN!  BIPLANES rule!
