F-4 about 50,000ft, MACH 1.5 a few times, I know request said not airliners, but the CONCORD is the exception 58,000 MACH 2.0 curvature of Earth and PURPLE sky drinking good wine and eating a good steak! Joe

The P-51D you see in the picture with Pilot Tim McPherson. Flew back from Oshkosh with Bob Odegaard on our wing in the Super Corsair 74 that took his life Last month. RIP Bob.

Back in 1980, I was stationed at Griffis AFB where the 49th FIS operated the F-106 (until 1987). The F106 was awesome! I dreamed of flying for the Air Force and got my shot in 1983. Flew T-38's for a few years trying to get an assignment to the 49th but never got the opportunity to do it.
