Are you a proud member of a flying club? If so, brag a little and tell us about it.

Very glad to have been able to become an active memebr of this site on general and sport aviation. As president of Aeroclub Flightschool Caribe, based in Willemstad, Curacao, Dutch Caribbean, I want to comment on the following; our club aside from providing flight training to locals, we have associated ourselves with the Venezuelan Federation of Aeroclubs and through the years (more than 30 years), we have organized all tyhpes of aeronautical conventions, fly-ins and small airshows in Venezuela, Curacao and also the Dominical Republic. We hve also created the Caribbean Federation of Aeroclubs, to stimulate friendship among opther pilots in the Caribbean, etc. We established valuable contacts with organizers of of Escorter Air Tours by private plane to the Caribbean and we have hosted quite a number of these groups from the U.S. and Canada in Curacao. We would like to continue hosting these groups/events in Curacao and look forward to establish new contacts and aviation relations with those folks interested. Please contact we through this site, or at hveeris@hotmail.com
To know more about our island, please visit the site:www.curacao.com
We look forward to your comments.

I have joined a local pilot group who call themselves the Salinas Owners and Pilots Association (SOPA). I am so happy to have meet them and become a member. From the moment that I stepped into their first meeting I felt welcome and knowing that we all had atleast one thing in common and that was aviation. Since joining them in July of 2011 I have gone and visited more places than living in the area my whole life. They do many fun activities and many activities for the community. http://www.salinaspilots.com/
