EAA Members

NOAA Icing Information
This link connects directly to the National Weather Services’ "Current Icing Product," [CIP] which offers more detailed observations and more advanced prediction models than its earlier version. Developed by researchers at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, this new version offers displays that rate areas by icing severity and the probability of encountering icing conditions with selectable altitudes up to 29,000 feet. Objectives of the service include safer flights and the possibility of reduced costs incurred by unnecessary diversions around areas through which properly equipped aircraft could safely fly.
